Sweet Jeebus, I haven't updated this thing in half a year. It's a new year, so let's try this again. I'll post much more often and will probably give the site design a overhaul too.
Saw Avatar a couple days ago. If you haven't seen it yet, go! Go now! See it in 3D! "Movie magic" has been getting pretty spectacular the past couple decades but Avatar pushes it to a whole new level. As Camerons performance capture tech becomes more widely available we'll probably see many more filmmakers creating entirely new worlds for us to view.

Saw Watchmen friday night and really liked it. Very faithful to the book and the actor who played Rorschach did a great job. Some of the voice-over felt flat but didn't really bother me too much.
But I want my gaddamn squid ending! Here's the thing about the squid ending: Humanity gets woken up. They're tricked into believing that life exists elsewhere in the universe and is gunning for them. Their petty squabbling means nothing compared to the threat of an alien invasion so it's time to put differences aside, join together as a united planet and kick some ass!
In the new Dr. Manhattan ending humanity is bitchslapped. They believe that Dr. Manhattan (who many believe is basically a god) is now angry with them and throwing the equivalent of Zeus's lightning bolts down at humanity for upsetting him. America and the USSR stop their fighting, not because they WANT to or believe they should, but out of fear! Peace under the heel of someone's big blue foot is not peace at all.
Bring back the squid!

My site has needed a total redesign for a long, loong time. So here it is! Things are still very discombobulated and probably wont work. (Looking at you Navigation Panel!) The contact button works, but that's about it.
Big thanks to Helior Colorado for getting me hooked on this whole Drupal thing which I'm using to power the new site.
